For the new......Cheats & Treats !
Thanks for this. I sipped, nibbled, cheated and celebrated my way to 274lbs. When I made the commitment to get sleeved I was all in, for every day of every week of every month of every year. I have no desire to get on that slippery slope of "just a nibble".."it's a special occasion".."what's one glass of xyz going to hurt". I'm ALL IN. Every day. I deserve that commitment to myself.

Great post, Frisco~
I was one month post op at Thanksgiving. I ate turkey and turkey only for Thanksgiving Dinner...and I decided to celebrate Thanksgiving at home, by myself. Just the turkey and me. My birthday was two days later....I ate chicken to celebrate. Do I know how to party or what?!?!
I will be going to a friends home for Christmas Eve's dinner. She knows I will be eating protein and I will measure it. I am not embarrassed to do that. It is what my plan dictates I am to do...measure all my food. Not eyeball it, not guess at it, not nibble at this or that, not take a little spoon of this because it is a holiday. I dragged measuring cups to the restaurant the other day. This is my life I am attempting to save and who gives a rip if people think it is odd I am measuring my food before eating it.
I once weighed 447 pounds. I lost 200 pounds "the old fashioned way" as a friend calls it. Then I got sick and gained 70+ pounds that wouldn't budge. It didn't matter what I did, I needed help to get the weight off. I carry a picture of me at 447 pounds....it is a great visual reminder of where I was and how easy I could get there again by letting my old thoughts of "it won't hurt, it's just one bite" or "it's just one sip". Yeah, those "it won't hurt, it's just one bite" or "it's just one or two sips" add up fast....eventually to eating an entire pizza or ordering two Blizzards and eating both, but making it look like one is for someone else when you ordered.....or ending up at a high weight of 447 pounds. :)
