Clothes-------->Overload.....

For years (the fat years) I only had a limited amount of clothes that actually fit.......

Now 4 years post-op and 3 years the same size...... I'm in clothes overload......

I've lost track of more than half of it......I think I have enough to open a small store..... as most is new with tags or sealed.

Just for Xmas after doing some exchanges and redeeming some gift cards I've added:

- 4 pairs shoes

- 2 belts

- 6 Jackets

- 1 Sport coat

- 5 sweatshirts

- 20 shirts

- 10 Tee's

- 6 pants

- 3 sweatpants

- Many socks and undies

Most of it is sitting here in bags........

This is very new for me and un anticipated.......

Overload...... obscene......

Clothes was easier when I was fat...... not as fun....but easier to manage....

The first time I went shopping after hitting goal was like being a kid in a candy store....my adrenaline kicked in and I couldn't believe that pretty clothes fit me. I also had a very limited wardrobe before and most things were black ... I went a little overboard on clothes a couple of times but had to stop due to budgetary constraints and I was concerned I had a new problem!!!

But it is so much fun and it feels so very very good when clothes fit. I am almost 18 months out and maintaining within a 2 pound swing; size 6-8 still cannot believe this.

take care have fun with this.....cool clothes for a cool guy!!

This is something I was recently thinking about and cannot wait for. I'm only recently kind of grew out of the first pair of jeans (they were the only pair that truly fit me correctly), and the two pair that I'd squeeze into for some variety of outfits every once in awhile now actually fit. I have a decent selection of clothing the next size down, which I can't wait to wear (I am getting bored with those two and my handy yoga pants being worn all the time).

Anyway, I can't wait to be able to go into my closet and have so many outfits to choose from!

Frisco, this is one of the things my image consultant has been able to help me with. She typically will "shop someone's closet" and inventory what they have - think the early sequences of What Not To Wear - and then provide recommendations for filling in and expanding/replacing based on my goals, personality, and lifestyle. Starting from the point where my entire wardrobe fit into a single suitcase, it has been helpful to have her guidance on what to get to expand from where I am to where I want to be, without spending a fortune doing it since I am not at goal yet. I am working with mine for a full year, but she also offers ala carte services as well.

Not sure if you'd be interested in such a service, but I am sure there are AI****rtified folks in California.

That really is a good suggestion, I know a few and they can do wonders.....

I really don't have that problem......

I have numerous wardrobe stylists that work under my direction and I've been dressing men, women and children for 30 years......

Yes, establishing my own "image" at my current size has had it's challenges, but pretty easy really.

As an artist the possibilities are much greater..... less "corporate" and more personal expression.

The only thing (for me) that I'm not into is the alligator shirt/Dockers/sweater around the neck/brown deck shoes look...... that ain't me....not that it's bad for someone else...... just not me.....

Yeah, I really feel bad for you....NOT!  I have the same problem, only mine involves shoes, skinny jeans, and cashmere sweaters.  Oh yeah, also, designer bags, dresses, mini skirts, party dresses.....should I go on?  It is really a tough problem to deal with now, at least for Alan.  :)
