Post op people- how many calories?

I'm 2.5 weeks out and most days getting between 400-600 calories.  I'm sure this will increase as I heal, but I've had plenty of energy and feel great so I guess it's not affecting me too negatively.

i am 5 months and i try to be around 800...some days more some days less.  As other people have said, you have to really get in your protein. If i get in carbs without protein, i'm hungry. If I get in my protein, I'm good.  I'm assuming when i"m not losing anymore, I'll probably be around 1500 calories/day.

I am 2.5 weeks out and taking in less than 500 calories a day.  I just started on pureed food and so far have not found anything that is good other than refried beans.  I am trying pot roast tonight.

During my weight loss phase I ate around 600 calories per day, with 15-25 grams of carbs and 80+ grams of protein. In maintenance, I eat 1500 calories, with 80-100 grams of carbs and 100-120 grams of protein. I'm 5'2" and weigh 115 pounds.

Month 1- 400 ish

Month 2- 600-800

Month 3-4 800-1100

Month 5- end of weight loss phase- 1200

Maintenance- I don't track perfectly anymore, but I have MFP set to 1700.  I would say a typical day is 1600-1700, but I have many high and low days that balance each other out.

I know 800 doesn't seem like many calories- but I have a large loosely sewn sleeve on my 6' 2'' frame (longer stomach) and so long as I stuck to protein and followed the rules 800 is enough to satiate- even now.  Example day: breakfast: shake 160 cals, 30 g protein, snack fibergourmet bag of crackers 70 cal, 4 g protein, 12 g fiber; lunch tuanfish (made with miracle whip lite and sugar free relish) on a bed of spinach- I think around 120 cals and 15-20 g protein; snack- 2 lite cheese sticks 120 cals 16ish g protein; dinner fish and veggies < 200 cals, 15-20 g protein, snack- protein shake 100 cal 17 g protein.... day under 800 cals, 110 g protein and not a spec of hunger on this day.

I'm approaching 6 YEARS!!

I do track my food and try to stay within 1000, exercise daily, although I don't eat back my calories burned.  I don't track on the weekends, but I do weigh daily.  if I see a creep of more than a couple of pounds, I go back to keeping my cals under 1000 but i'm 5'3" and weigh between 112 and 115.  If you are taller and bigger, you will be able to eat more.  However, I will also go through periods of extra exercise and /or less eating and if I drop too low, i will increase some fun and yes, unhealthy snacks :)

I'll be 9 mos on the 10th, started at 350, currently at 201.75 and have never gotten close to 800...not because I didnt want to...just  because this is my sleeve.  Im closer to 500 if im lucky.

Listen to your body.
