Now I'm starting to get nervous!
Brilliant decision to get a pedicure now! I so should have done that before the tummy tuck!! No ugly toes for you during recovery! Try not to be nervous... you have done a fantastic job in your preop diet and that is a great indicator that you are fully ready to take this on. You will LOVE how you are feeling in less than 3 months... lots thinner, no more feeling crappy from food choices, more active, and on and on it goes!

You totally have this! Just remember, walk and sip, walk and sip. And before you push that button for pain meds, ask yourself if it's real pain or discomfort. Getting off pain meds as early as you can really helps, especially if you have nausea.
And for the next 10 days, give yourself permission to sleep as much as you want to! I took 2 naps a day the first week. In between, I was walking and sipping, sipping and walking...LOL!
You'll be FINE. Repeat this to yourself. You. Will. Be. Fine.
Tomorrow morning, when nurses are bustling in and out and the anesthesiologist comes in and out, do NOT be afraid to ask people to slow down and explain things to you. It will make you an informed patient. I didn't allow any meds or pre op "routines" without full explanations. Even if someone gets pissy with you, it's your body. Know what's happening to you. I found that being fully informed about every little detail helped my mind stay off of scary possibilities. The unknown can be terrifying. If you haven't done it already, I'd recommend finding a video on YouTube that shows the surgery from start to finish. That helped me maintain my composure more than anything. I could visualize what was going to happen and knew what to expect.
Best of luck, hon. You've got this! I'll warm you up a seat on the Loser's Bench!!
