2 month stall CRISIS!

That is what happened to me. Frisco and White Dove are spot on. I slipped into maintenance with a lick of that and a bite of this and although officially on MFP I was still within 800 cals a day in reality it was more. Life happens. I was in denial for a while then pulled my head out of a certain dark and smelly place...and lo and behold six lbs dropped in month 15! Protein, green veggies, undereating your sleeve, water....nothing magical. And I am not an exercise junkie by any stretch. Seven more lbs to go....and it is totally doable. Just depends on how long you want to do it for!

That sounds more like whats happening. I need to be more conscious of those bites and tastes here and there. I hate that I'm at a point where I can eat anything and nothing upsets my tummy. The only bad thing is I feel hungry all the time. Its insane!

Yeah the hunger is a bummer indeed. I am quite lucky, 15.5 months out and I can't say that I feel any hunger. But that doesn't stop the BLTs...(bites, licks, tastes) and I too can tolerate anything without any ill effects, apart from stalling the weight loss...have you tried increasing liquids? Does that take the edge off the hunger? Also another strategy would be to eat vegetables when you feel hungry in between meals. Very little caloric damage and you will get more nutrients. Elina's green chicken soup is a great filler!

The hunger is caused by eating carbs.  If you go on a very low carb plan, like Atkins induction at under 20 carbs per day, you will find the hunger will be gone by about the third day.

Your energy will increase and the scale will start going down again.  I often see people posting about their plans and that they are allowed rice, potatoes, breads, pasta, etc.  Just because your plan allows it does not mean it is the right thing for your body.

While this is a plan for life, it is so important to work your sleeve to get as much weight off as possible during the first years.  My surgeon was satisfied when I lose 60% of my excess weight.

I was not satisfied until I lost 110% of it. I had a cushion for the regain that happened in my third year and I got to be really thin for about a year.  It all evened up in the end.

Now it all comes down to calories in for me.  If I eat too much the scale goes up.  I weigh every single morning and catch it at one or two pounds.

You are an adult and can decide for yourself.  Your current plan is not going to get you to goal.  It has stopped working for you and will not magically start working again.  Cutting to 800 calories and 20 carbs a day can get you to swimsuit model weight.

I understand and practice the 500-700 cal per day under 20 carbs.  But this way of eating is disordered in the other way like anorexic or something.   It all is a lot to take in

Great thread.  I am only 14 days post op but this is information I will keep!  I am dropping weight like crazy but doctor says I may stall and not to panic because I have to catch up with myself.  So I am good.  But nice to know if it happens further out there is a quick fix!  Eat even less....
