Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? TGIF & my lil' review of Quest Cookies'n'Cream Bars!
My husband is in the early stages of VSG insurance approval, and I'm about 2 months post-op. So, we ordered the variety pack of Quest bars last night, as well as the variety pack of Chike. Can't wait to try them all out next week!
B - large latte
Sn - string cheese
L - Creamy chicken dip w/ crackers
Sn - greek yogurt (blueberry, I think?)
D - ricotta lasagna (leftovers)
Can't wait for it to warm up just a bit so I can get outside and start my Couch to 5k training!!!
Happy Friday! I tend to not really like the chocolatey flavors of the Quest Bars which is weird because in real life I'd much rather eat something chocolate flavored than fruit flavored. Weird!
B: HB egg, 1 slice of WW rye bread
L: leftover skinny chicken rollatini, sauteed kale on the side
S: 1 cup skinny pop
D: sushi place tonight! not sure what I'm having yet.

B: Poached egg over Canadian baconand tomato slice with yogurt based (low fat version of hollandaise sauce)
L: Chicken stew ( made with tomatos, olives, and spices. I top it off with sliced almonds and serve it over spaghetti squash
S: small red and orange peppers stuffed with crab salad, shaved havarti cheese and garlic
D: garlic and lemon stuffed grilled trout with greek salad
It's Friday, so I will almost certainly go out later. Will have a glass or two of wine
B: pina colada protein drink and coffee
L: black and blue hamburger on sandwich thins whole wheat
D: can of albacore tuna on mixed lettuce greens and maybe some chicken tortilla soup
S: quest bar
water/vitamins: on track

Not doing great today...
B: Lite N Fit Greek Yogurt (Strawberry Cheesecake) with a handful of chopped nuts
L: picked the insides out of some wrap slices (had to sit through an appreciation luncheon)..so a little deli meat, a few small pieces of chicken, a few tiny pieces of mozzerella cheese
(also made the mistake of taking a few nibbles of a cookie..big mistake...I think I may be a dumper :( been sweating and feeling awful since. Lesson learned)
D: 4 oz. salad shrimp w/tablespoon of ****tail sauce
S: something to get some more protein in without having to resort to a protein shake...
doing really awful with my vits...I forgot to fill my box for the week. I need a kick in the a**
B: Premier Protein chocolate shake
L: Three Pepperoni and Brie Bites
D: Turkey and Cheese Rollup, Deviled Egg
S: Blueberry Greek Yogurt with a shot of protein powder

E: Recumbent bike - 30 minutes
Geeze, I might as well C&P my food selection for the entire week. But this configuration is working for me. Less than 20 grams of carbs and the scale is going down daily. I think I'll stick with it.
