OMG I want some MEAT!

Day two of pre-op diet and I just want a hunk of meat. Heck just a slice of turkey or salami would be everything to me right now! I keep daydreaming about how good canned tuna and laughing cow cheese is going to taste after all this protein shake and chicken broth nonsense. .  Not complaining because my pre-op diet is short compared to others...just getting it of my chest.

I know how you feel! I am so ready to be able to eat solid foods! I am looking forward to the foods I will be able to eat on the pureed stage like applesauce and yogurt. And I cant WAIT to be able to eat eggs! Never in my life have I wanted scrambled eggs so badly!

I totally get it.  I had a short pre-op diet but 3 weeks of liquids post-op. Then mushies & softs.  I could not WAIT to eat some meat.

Well, here we are 7 weeks post-op and I'm getting tired of meat and cheese. I am almost sick of eggs and tuna. My husband is sick of the smell of fish in the house! Chicken is still iffy and ground beef is off the menu after it got stuck a couple weeks ago. I find myself wishing for a cold peach or a juicy apple! 

 

HW: 229 ; SW: 208 (-21);  GW: 125

Day 9 of liquid pre op diet.... I am starving!   I trying to be a good sport.  But it is getting hard!  Good luck!

confession time.........a few times during my two week liquid diet, instead of a shake, I just had some protein of some sort. It really helped  curb the need for something different, and every time I did it I calculated that I consumed less carbs , less calories, and equal or more protein. I'm not telling you to cheat, I'm just confessing something that helped me and I did lose 30 lbs those two weeks.
