I know you can't predict what my body will do, but I'd like to know what your experience was like.

I have a dress I love that fits great right now, pre-op. At 5 weeks post-op, I'm going to see Avenue Q in NYC. Will this dress look ghastly on me at that point or what?  I feel so clueless about clothes for my future body :/

As you said, everyone is different, but it seems that around 30 lbs weight loss is somewhat typical by 5 weeks out. I can only speak for myself, but I lost 10 lbs pre-op and another 21 by 4 weeks post op.

I'm thinking you need to have a Plan B for your NYC night out

Thanks!  This is one of those answers where both options are awesome and sucky at the same time. But... I'd rather lose the weight!

I would bet you will need a smaller dress by then. I am about 5 weeks post-op and I gave away my favorite dress bc it was too loose on me. In fact, I gave away a bag of other clothes, too: jeans, sweaters, etc.

Enjoy clothes shopping and enjoy Avenue Q! I heard it's fantastic.

I will plan on another option then, thanks!

I'm excited to see the show, I haven't yet!

it seems like every 20-25 pounds is a size, especially in dresses.  maybe hit a high end second hand shop and buy a backup???

Thanks!  Backup plan it is. Maybe Gwynnie Bee can help me!
