unjury cheese? Too good to be true??

So, have any of you had the Unjury protein cheese stuff?  I'm debating on buying it.  It *sounds* good.  I also want to be careful though, because I don't want to slip into old habits, but I was thinking for the next phase of this diet (still on liquids only for another week), when I can have thicker stuff, I could mix this in with some potatoes or soup or something to get some added flavor and protein.  So, what are your thoughts on this ... miracle protein deliciousness or disgusting and don't bother?

I haven't had it but some of the reviews talked me out of it....I'm interested to see what the experience here has been.

You'll probably get mixed reviews on this one.

I have the Unjury protein cheese sauce and my husband and I have been eating it on occasion. We have mixed it into soup when I was on liquids, and poured it over stuff like refried beans. He poured it over some of his burritos the other night. I don't think the flavor is crazy awesome or anything, but it's not bad. I'm a hot sauce fiend and like it with red chili sauce in it. By itself, I think it's rather boring. It DOES have that little bit of Unjury smell to it! Overall, I'm glad I bought it, because we are using it, and hey, it's got more protein than something like Velveeta. You can make it thicker too, by adding less water. I'm not so crazy about it that I go for it every day. It's a "sometimes food".

My experience is that it is worth using to up the protein value of soups and soft foods but realize that at its best it is still just a mediocre tasting processed cheese product. It takes awhile for powder to dissolve. I agree with a previous poster that it is better with hot sauce or red pepper flakes.

I found that the size was just too much. The flavor over powered the item it was used with. If I added it to veggie or refried beans the amount of cheese sauce was too much. So I would suggest mixing a half scoop. It taste no better than cheese whiz. I thought it would help me eat more vegatables but found that I now like my vegetable with nothing on them at all

I have not tried it but you should probably stay away from potatoes at this stage, there very high carb and low protein , the opposite of what you need

I bought some but have not tries it yet. I mainly got it so that instead of meat for a meal, I could have veggies with some of that. I normally eat my veg plain or with evoo, and I knew I would miss them post op. Turns out, I'm able to get in all my protein daily and some veg so haven't needed the sauce.
