Paleo?

While I'm not interested in following any fad diet ever again, I am finding tons of recipes that look sleeve friendly in my perusal of Paleo blogs.

Have any of you had success with Paleo recipes post-op?  Are there certain blogs or cookbooks you'd recommend that have a fair number of sleeve-friendly recipes?

Thanks!

I like MarksDailyApple.com - pretty level headed approach to primal/paleo...

Thanks - that's actually one I've been checking out today.  Lots of really great looking recipes that seem very sleeve acceptable!

I've read many many sites, and MDA seems to me, to be pretty reasonable.  He has a couple good cookbooks as well.

Bon appetite!

I'm pre-op but I have several paleo cookbooks. Two of my favorites are Make it Paleo and Paleo Comfort Foods.

Thanks!  Do you think the recipes would be good for the post-op diet?

Absolutely! I am planning to follow a mostly primal/paleo type diet after my surgery. I have had success in the past I've just never stuck with it long enough (hence the surgery). It really just encourages eating healthy foods. I follow a ton of blogs too. Practical Paleo is another good book. Paleo Parents and Everyday Paleo both have a lot of kid friendly recipes on their blogs if you need to cook for a family. My gym is a CrossFit gym and we have a group that shares recipes too. This is one of my favorite paleo recipe sites: http://www.thefoodee.com

I'm 100% Paleo now thanks to lactose intolerant. It's definitely NOT a diet but a lifestyle that truly follows the Sleeve recommendations. Protein first. Fresh veggies all natural foods. Paleoplan.com has GREAT recipes.
