Serious weight stall

So I'll be three months out from surgery on the 28th.  I have lost 34 lbs.  I had  80-100 to lose before surgery.  My scale is crazy.  I weigh once and it will say 210ish.  I weigh again to seethe accuracy and it will go down to 206.  Plus if I weigh in the afternoon I always weigh less in the afternoon.  I think I hold. Fluid over night.  So I'm stuck in this 4 lb weight range.  I have not gotten the motivation to work out.  I know that is key for me but I have a psychological block to it.  I am working hard on that with my therapist.  Do y'all think I need a new scale?  If so what kind seems to be most accurate?  Thanks for the input. Good or bad?

I think it is important to weigh at the same time of day to compare weights and always wear the same thing...preferably nothing. I personally like to weigh in the AM. I like a scale that reads digitally.

I weigh in the morning sans clothing.  I like my Weigh****chers digital scale it seems to never vary even if you move it to another surface.

I just went through a three week stall and started losing again.  It's a normal part of losing weight, just keep doing what you are supposed to and it will start coming off again.

And if you aren't, start logging your food on "my fitness pal" or my favourite app "Lose It!"

I have a WW scale that seems accurate, too. I would say get a new one, but don't be upset if it recalibrates higher or excited if it recalibrates lower!

Keep doing the right things and the scale will move eventually.  Stalls and reversals are part of the journey.  Measure your success in weeks and months.

Good luck!

I have had many scales that vary like that - like 5 pounds within 1 minute!   My mom gave me a Weigh****chers scale and it is so accurate - I can step on it 10 times in a row and it will still give the same weight.  Love it.

I had the same experience earlier in the week, and i am 10 weeks out from surgery, have the same amount of weight to lose AND lost the same amount of weight. The same folks *****sponded to you responded to me, and helped me get through a very difficult week. I threw away my scale....I really did. I am going to measure and go with inches lost and how clothes feel rather than what the f'n scale says LOL. Im tired of me getting upset that the scale is not moving. It also helped motivate me to get to the gym also because im not depending on the scale, Im depending on my body.

Is your scale a digital one?  You might need to change the batteries.
