Surgery date coming up!! What should I pack???
Excited over the fact that I am getting my new life on the 26th - 10 days from today... Yay!!! Getting close, nesting period, I guess, getting my ducks in a row here at home. One random thought keeps popping in my head... What should I pack?? What were your 'must haves' for your hospital stay???
I wore the same clothes home that I wore to the hospital - loose dress, loose pants, slip on shoes, panties, and a bra. I skipped the bra on the way home.
I also took Chapstick, two pairs of panties, a pack of pads in case my period started, my phone, my kindle, and the charging cables.

When I went in i traveled light, I wore in a pair of sweats, top and jersey jacket. I wore it home too. I brought a pair of loose pj bottoms and wore my top that i came in. I brought some deoderant, tooth paste and brush, breath spray, chapstick and hair brush. I left a pillow in the car to hold against my stomach on the ride home. It helped with the road bumbs..I had my cell phone too...I used everything and was glad that i had it.
I wore in what I was going to wear home (comfy sweats, t-shirt, flip flops, undies and bra).
Things I packed and used: contacts, glasses, chapstick, ipad, iphone, charger, socks, pajama bottoms, bathrobe, showering supplies, moisturizer, deodorant, makeup (just the basics), hair ties, brush, body lotion, eye mask for sleeping, headphones, and babywipes (I used those way more than I thought I would!!)
Things I packed and didn't use: a book, extra bra, extra undies (I had a catheder and didn't get it out until I was almost home)
Thanks so much for the great tips! So key thing is to pack lightly. Loose, comfy clothing, fit flops, wipes, iPad (I just had a thought - who's watching your stuff while you're taking your walks?)phone, chargers, lip balm plus basic makeup, lotion, deodorant, robe... I think that's about it! ![]()

Chapstick is a must! I also just wore home what I came in. Change of undies. Toiletries. White noise machine, tablet, phone, chargers, extra socks, rubber soled slippers (for walking the halls, my nurses had me up every 2 hours during the day to walk a lap), bathrobe.
