how much exercise are you getting?
I am doing none! before surgery I used to work out about 5 days a week at my company gym tredmill and bike. I want to work out now but I do not know where to walk? I guess its just an excuse but i hate the tredmill and all we can do right now is walk. I want to do water aerobics but i cant get in the water yet.
I started just walking up and down my street every day and adding in one "lap" every day. I'm sure the neighbors think I'm weird, but whatever :)

I've been very spotty recently. I use an elliptical, which I love, but I began to experience some pain on my right side, about waist level, and exercise or moving abruptly caused some pain. There was some speculation that it may have been a gallstone passing, but now, a few weeks later, the pain has resolved and I can jump on the elliptical again and be pain free. I tend to think that as my stomach shrunk so quickly that the abdominal muscles became lax and when I did a particularly hard workout, that I pulled something internally muscle wise.
I'm looking better in my clothes, but I need to exercise to look better nekkid LOL I'm shooting for 5x weekly at one hour each workouts. My arms are getting flabby so I'm going to have to start some weights to see if I can tone those up.
Congrats on the 30 minutes walk daily..that is AWESOME!

I can't wait to be cleared for the elliptical again!!!! I prefer it to the treadmill. But.. I also sort of want to run, if I can.

I've been increasing my walking by 5 minutes every day, but I only go to the gym 3x week. The other days, I do less structured movement. I'm up to 55 minutes on the treadmill and on Friday I'll do 60. Then I'll work on pumping the incline up a bit and then work on increasing my speed. I try to do a little bit more every time.

I do 3 times a week of cardio and strength training with a personal trainer for 30-45 minutes.
On days I go to the gym--usually 5 days a week--about 30-45 min of cardio, followed by 20-40 min of weight training. I hate my arms, so I am doing my best to shrink them.
Before surgery I did a lot of yoga, pilates and water exercise (I was the youngest in the class by 40 years, but it's a good workout!). Haven't really gone back to classes....not sure why.
I usually do the elliptical for cardio, or the stair climber. I like to swim recreationally but don't enjoy swimming laps because I need waterproof headphones. They'll be my 50 pound reward to myself. :)
