Wanting to have kids now... or later?? PLEASE HELP!

How about losing the weight, then having kids and then doing the surgery post pregnancy?  Then you'll be healthier when you have your kids, and save the surgery for when you are done.  I lost almost 200 pounds, and I have some lose skin, but its nothing I can't live with for a while.  I do want to have plastics when I reach goal, but I don't feel a pressing need to do it quickly.  I also am well beyond child-bearing age, so this part wasn't an issue for me.

best of luck.

My surgeon has said he does NOT recommend anyone have abdominal plastics until they are done having children. Makes sense to me-- why get everything tightened up, then stretch it out again during pregnancy?

Thanks for all of your replies! I'm going to take everyone's advice and just keep on going. My Mirena is due to be removed in 4 more years so hopefully I'll be ready by then. :-)
