Hunger-eat or ignore?
It totally sucks!!! Definitely shows weight loss isn't simply "eat less, exercise more"! Mind boggling to be active and eat 600 calories and not lose an ounce!
hang in there! We are ginger sisters and surgisisters! *secret handshake to activate powers*

I think hunger is a good thing, real hunger. If I only ate when I was hungry and stopped when I wasn't I never would have gotten fat. but I also think 600 calories is too low. I could only get that much in at first but as I was able to eat more I lost weight easily.
ignoring real hunger sounds like a problem to me. are you counting carbs? because carbs will make you hungry faster.
once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.
PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Ok, so I had to reply back to this post. I posted on here about hunger pains, well Friday and Saturday I had a vomiting incident so I went to the ER. I knew something wasn't right with my new "stomach". I was diagnosed with gastritis....a result from stomach acid. They gave me a "PPI" which I didn't know what that was but found out that its a acid reducer(omeprazole). Now, as I rationalize the pains I was having were actually that of gas and stomach acid....no hunger. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?!? This new stomach is truly a learning experience! Maybe you should double check this with your doctor as well. Just a suggestion. So I thank the young lady who suggested getting checked by the doc for a PPI. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Early out I was eating every three hours or so since I could only get in an ounce or less of dense protein in at any meal time. I stayed at around 600 calories and controlled hunger with a few sips of a protein drink, a piece of cheddar or a small piece (1/2ounce) of meat or 1/2 of an egg. Don't worry about the stall as that is normal.
For the other poster, yes acid feels like hunger - rumbling, aching, gnawing feeling.
I see no talk of water here. I was told by my nut right off that sometimes we mistake thrist for hunger and to try drinking an glass of water before assuming it's hunger. I shoot for 80 oz of liquid a day, and really don't feel many hunger urges, for me it's mostly in my head :0
