What would you order from this menu?

I'm going here tonight for trivia and I'm trying to figure out what to order.  I figured you all might be able to help me!  I "can" eat anything (although we all know what that really means, right?).

Suggestions?  I don't mind having leftovers to bring home.

I'm guessing you're on a full food plan, right? If so, this is what I would have:

The Hot Wedge with a side of the grilled chicken. I would ask for the salad to arrive deconstructed (meaning bring the bacon, tomatoes, blue cheese and balsamic dressing on the side). You're not going to be able to eat very much at all and you will be able to make what you can eat that way and then take home the rest. I love grilled lettuce. I usually do a grilled wedge of romaine because it holds up to the heat very well. I have never tried to grill an ice berg wedge. If you do have that, let me know how it works. Think I might give it a try pretty soon either way!

BTW, not an easy place to go eat after WLS. They have everything you need, but you'll have to special order to get what's appropriate for you.

Good luck and have fun!

Interesting choices!  Sadly lettuce (all leafy greens) made me really sick prior to surgery and I'm not yet willing to risk trying it. I will one of these days... but I'm totally not above ordering salads without the lettuce in restaurants - weird looks be damned!

And I agree.  They've got things that are possible but argh, nothing that is super acceptable as written.  Our other trivia location, a tex-mex place, is surprisingly much easier to navigate.

I would get the pulled pork sliders hold the buns. My second choice would be a small order of the mussels. Have fun!

So far I'm thinking the chili with the pasta held.  The Irish Meatball appetizer seems acceptable as well.  None of the entrees except the grilled chicken seem feasible and it sounds boring.  Why does this menu have no fish that isn't fried?!

Ask them if the fish can be grilled.  The worst you can be told is no.  My husband and I dine out quite a bit, and we always ask if menu items can be modified.  Most of the time we are able to be accommodated.  It never hurts to ask.

I would go for the Irish Meatballs Appetizer. Sounds really good! Enjoy!

Thanks, I agree!  Menus can be challenging post-op.  Thank goodness so many restaurants put them online so that we're able to choose before we go, eh?
