I have finally turned a corner!
I AM SO JEALOUS! I haven't been able to tolerate plain water from TEN MONTHS now :(
I saw my surgeon the other day and he agreed with the research I've been doing that suggests that it is likely a pH issue that causes the water intolerance... I find that electrolyte "Smart" waters don't bother me as badly as others... Also, if I squeeze a bit of lime into my water, I'm good to go. It's irritating, but better than nothing. I miss being able to not have to PLAN my water!!
Glad you're doing well!

I was probably about 4 months out when I could tolerate it again. It was a great feeling. I still prefer it icy cold, but really, that's how I prefer it anyway.
Oh, and I agree, I was doing Mio squirts instead of Cystal Light and those things are tiresome! I will still have it every so often, but I never drank the stuff pre-op and I'm glad that I don't have to depend on it to stay hydrated.
