Stomach numb after surgery!?!?

VSG on 05/13/14

Had surgery 5/13/14.

my stomach is numb in a couple of areas. Is that normal?

I had my surgery April 30, 2014 and I have some numb spots too. Nothing to worry about - they had to cut nerves when making the incisions. Feeling should come back in a few months.

How r u doing? R u still in pain? It takes me almost 20 min to take my pain meds!

I have intermittent incision pain and my abdomen gets tender if I overdo it but nothing major. I haven't taken pain meds since about day 6. Feels better each day. I had more pain where I got the heparin shots!

Surgery: April 30, 2014: HW: 288 SW: 250 Achieved Goal 149 lbs: April 8, 2015 CW: 158 lbs (working on losing 65 lb regain as of June 1, 2021. Weight was at 215 lbs). Fighting every darn day!

Numbing is not uncommon!

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

I am 2 months out and still have some numb areas. Some days they are more numb and some days less numb. My mom said she felt numbness up until about a year out.

Surgery on 3/21/2014 with Dr. Ramos Kelly. HW:385 SW:358 CW: 240
