family support--care credit-- consultation

I am having trouble finding a good surgeon... With experience . The surgeon in my area (10 mins away) is dr Salvador ramos... Please check out his profile on here... He has a few old reviews and his experience is listed 

I know it is far from where you live but I used Dr. David Kim of the Kim Bariatric Institute. He has done over 6500 procedures and is very well respected and his staff was amazing.

That being said, my insurance didn't cover my procedure so I used Care Credit. My interest rate is pretty low, and the payment is only $140 month. My part out of pocket was only $5800 so that was all I had to finance. Since I had a hiatal hernia the hospital billed my insurance for all the hospital cost and all I had to do was pay my surgeon and for my bariatric pre-op supplies.

As for the family issue, not sure how to deal with that. I am very fortunate in that my family and friends all sttod behind me with this. They understood how important it was to me to get this done and be healthy again. Due to weight gain I had severe issues with my foot after I had to have foot surgery. Becuase of that and my weight  I was unable to contiune to pass my military fitness test. I was not quite ready to retire yet, but at the 20 year mark had to beacuse of the issues.

If it helps, have them look at some of the posts on this site about peoples experiance and how well they are doing. Find a support group that they can go to with you and ask questions.  It's a safe procedure with very few complications.
