Tastes change
Hi folks. I have not fallen but I wanted to share something I ate that I really shouldn't have. I used to LOVE McDoubles burgers from McDonald's, My daughter & I were out shopping Monday night & on the way home I wanted a burger. I ordered one; my daughter wasn't hungry so nothing for her. I took the meat off the bread & just ate the meat...I was shocked at how salty the meat tasted; or whatever it's actually made out of. Anyway, I am thankful that I didn't like the McDouble anymore. In the past I could've ate 3 by myself "shame shame on me" but I could. As my journey progresses before surgery I found myself thinking that I was just fat due to my sluggish thyroid & hysterectomy but NO I was fat because I ate stuff like this, drank sodas & sweet tea & didn't get off my butt enough. I know I could've made a healthier choice by choosing a grilled chicken sandwich & just eating the meat off of that but I was wanting a burger. I hope & pray that things I no longer crave or things like this that I once loved are always unappealing to me.
Please don't fuss at me for making an un-healthy choice, I just simply wanted to share my shock & amazement about something I once loved to eat now just tasting like a pile of salt. http://www.mcdonalds.ca/ca/en/food/nutrition_centre.html#/ I was curious about the sodium content & it's 910 mg! 380 calories & 34 carbs

As for judging ..
All I can say is it could have been much worse you could have eat in the bun... so no judgment here ...
I have been stuck 1 or 2 times and gotten a taco from tacobell and just pulled the stuff off the shell ..
No one's perfect we all will slip and get back on ...
Smile!!! :-)

No judgment! I was traveling and A little McD kiosk was my only choice at a museum one day. I got a cheeseburger and only ate the meat and cheese. You make each choice then move on!
As for tastes changing, though, wow! Yes!! I can't eat anything sweet anymore. Not a huge deal - I've never liked sweet drinks much, but now I can't even eat yogurt with fruit in it. And I used to be a huge salt addict, now I'm complaining that things are too salty while my son and husband are telling me I'm nuts and adding more. That has never happened before! Very weird, but since salty stuff has been my kryptonite, I'll take it! :)
