You're so right!  It will get easier every week both due to practice and weight loss.  Glorious!

You know the downside of weight loss?  I burn fewer calories every time I do the same workout ;)

So funny I almost choked on my protein drink! Super happy for you! I'm still at the brisk walking stage but looking forward to running, hopefully for enjoyment someday.

I'm glad you didn't actually choke!  Thank you :D

I would also like to enjoy running some day.  I'm definitely not there yet.

You're amazing!  I'm not sure that I'll ever be interested in racing beyond a 5k just to say that I did it.. but I live with a racer and he can be addicting.

That is WONDERFUL!!!

I recently began doing the same thing... short runs within my workout. Whenever I do it, I'm chanting in my head "Oh, my god! I'm running! I'm running!"

Keep at it. Soon, you'll run 2 minutes... then three... then four...

Hehe, I did the same thing.  "I'm doing it!  I'm doing it!!"  Which changed to "omg, only 10 seconds more.  8, 6..."

And thank you :)

SO COOL!

I hope one day I can run - but my knees are so shot it might not happen until they're replaced with titanium models.

Never, ever in my wildest dreams did I think I would a) want to run or b) be able to run.  It's pretty astounding.  But I started SUPER slowly and built up to this.  And I still have so far to go!

On the plus side for you, every pound you lose now and getting into better shape will make the recovery from knee replacement that much easier!
