Cold here in Michigan tonight!

It is only in the 50's right now, and it is June 20th.  Stores have the A/C on so it is artic cold.  I couldn't even finish my grocery shopping in Krogers because I was turning into a walking ice cube.  And I am not on the shore of the Great Lakes or in the U.P.  I, instead, am wearing sweats with the hood up. We were going to go to the movies, but we are pretty sure the A/C will be on there and I will go into hypothermia. So staying home, renting a redbox (don't ask me why because we have Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu) and bundled up with blankets.

And I asked the hubby to start a fire because seriously- I refuse to turn the heat on in June.  We had the air on this morning.  Go figure. I don't think I will ever get used to getting cold so easily.  I swear even if I lived in a desert, I would still freeze.  Before wls- this temperature today would have been perfect!

Im so with you.....   Before this I would sweat so easily... my employees would get so upset...cause I would crank the air ... and I'd say to them listen put on a sweater or what ever cause I can't take any more off....   now they all walk around say really kelly is so hot we can't breath... and I'll say to them I'm sorry but I'm freezing..... There response to me is... well put on a sweater cause we can't take anymore off.... ouch bit did that one bite me in the but! !! :-)

I am right with you on this one I am constantly walking around turning off ceiling fans and closing windows.  And the normal response is, put on a damn sweatshirt. This is Michigan and you know what they say, wait 5 minutes and the weather will change. But I don't think I would want to live anywhere else.   😄. I'm 20 months out and I don't see it changing anytime soon. ⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️

Soooooo much better than that sticky wet outfit.

I'm waiting for the day I can say the same. One of the reasons I had wls. Even today, I'm going to my Nephews b-day at a park and it's supposed to be 80, bright sun, and humid. In the past I'd plan on being miserable the entire time. I'm already to the point in my wl that I should be able to sit in the shade w/o sweating and looking fwd to throwing the ball around and working up a sweat.

On the bright side you got an extra summer fire with the hubby :)

(if I ever got a tatoo it would say something like "put on another layer, I'm not taking anymore off"

I haven't had surgery yet and I stay hot all the  time.  Plus I live in east texas hot and humid.  I am hoping after I shed at least 115 lbs I will be one of those freezing to death people.  Just finishe push mowing my front yard and I am sweating like crazy and it is not even 9 yet.

I can completely empathize.  Prior to surgery my husband and I both would swelter at 70 degrees.  We both lost weight thank goodness, so he gets cold a lot quicker now too.  Makes it easier to agree on a temperature.  And I agree with other posters- better cold than sweaty hot.  You will get there!

I LOVE cold weather & live in one of the hottest states...always wishing for what I can't have I guess because I'm sure not moving anywhere & leaving all my family behind I still get a *****illy since surgery but right after surgery I was cold all the time.  I wi**** would've lasted as I'm back to sweating it out sometimes in our near 100 degree weather days; but not every single day like before WLS.  I love to sweat when I'm working out but not while I'm out shopping; oddly enough most of the stores around here have broken air conditioners or just don't run them much.  Hot flashes-yes I have em but am thankful they aren't constant like before WLS.  & I hope I didn't cause global warming with all the hairspray I used in the late 80's & 90's...

I am in SE Michigan and yesterday was rainy and cloudy.  Couldn't decide if I wanted AC or windows open/closed.  Today tho, it is the most beautiful first day of summer ever!!

BTW,,the feelings of being cold, after a few years (!!!), it sort of settles down.
