***Maintenance food.

People often ask what I eat when I'm on the road in maintenance.

The truth is, just about anything that does not exceed 1/3 of my plate looking "white carbs" and trying not to go over 400 calories in total.

Here are photos of two recent lunches in two different cities.

In both these meals I ate about half.

Yep, whether fried chicken and a good salad with some blue cheese dressing, or shrimp scampi, with just a couple forks of carbs.. Mostly I order protein forward apps anymore. Less to cart around or leave behind. Considering my restriction, even my super-fat fatty intake days, a full meal rarely pushes past 350.. and that's with half an avo, cream cheese and macnuts included. I find if I eat well, and fully, I am fine for 5-6 hours. If I eat low-fat, I'm hungry in 3. Things have evolved (in a good way) as the years go on. Under goal, happy & healthy.. other than being independently wealthy, what else can I ask for?

We could eat together !!!

The key, like you and I have discovered..... keep the quantity small and you can eat a much more varied content and preparation !!!

The flip side is that I enjoy eating lean also because I'm not forced to eat lean all the time. Lunch today was a celery and tuna salad with Greek yogurt and Ponzu..... enjoyed it !!!

..nice thing, that I've taken advantage of often: the sashimi app, that's a meal.. the dozen oysters at $3 a pop.. I may not finish! Eating lean is also very awesome.
