iron
Hey guys,
My blood work at my 2 month appointment showed that my iron levels are low, which is not that unusual. I take an iron supplement every day, but I am also trying to incorporate it into my diet. I changed my settings on MFP so that it tracks my iron levels, and I only got 17 g today. What are some foods that have iron? I'm kind of clueless about this. Thanks!

Have you ever had a green drink?? If you put the raw spinach into a smoothie with berries you cannot taste the spinach. You can also add whey for protein. You need a decent blender though. I'm pretty sure we live in the same town (judging by your surgeon). If you want to give it a shot, Roxberry makes a fantastic Iron smoothie and I believe it's called iron. When I do mine at home, I do spinach with a carbwise milk, vanilla protein powder and a mixture of frozen fruit.
Good luck!!! Oh, I know red meat is another sourest and make sure you're eating the yolks with your eggs. That's where the iron is and Dr's now say the whole cholesterol is pretty much a myth.
