Exploding Glass Cannot Stop Me!

So if you caught my post a few days ago I am coming off of a terrible weekend at the in-laws cabin. Gained 6 pounds.  Per my usual I eased myself back into weight loss mode because I hit my fatty rule.  This time has been a little weird though because it seems the world is conspiring against the weight loss mode.  My elliptical started acting up, my kitchen sink started leaking so badly it is difficult to prepare fresh food, I dropped my supersized greek yogurt and lost all of it, my daughter drank my shakes and ate my proten bars, and then today... I make Hake fish perfectly (hard for me- I am terrible at cooking fish) and pull the pan out and set it on the top of the stove.  And the glass exploded.  The only thing lower calore than the Hake (90 calories, 5 ounces) is Hake with glass shrapnel making it unedible.

But no excuses!  I am down 5 pounds (clearly a lot is water weight) and doing better overall.  Stupid exploding fish and all! So ya'll- stick with your plan even if little things are getting in the way :)

A lot of people don't buy into this but Mercury is retrograde and it certainly can cause all hell to break loose.  At the very least it messes up best-laid plans!

Glad you weren't hurt by the exploding glass - that had to be scary!!

One of those days/weeks, huh?

What does hake (non-shrapnel) taste like? How do you prepare it?

Glad the numbers are back to moving in the right direction.

Super easy- it comes in individually sealed portions from either Sams or Cost****an't remember which)...

One spray Pam on the bottom of the pan

Fish in (frozen, because I am too lazy to thaw)

A bit of butter on top of each

Sprinkled generously with Old Bay and lemon papper

Bake 375 for 15-20 minutes

Very mild fish, not mushy or boney or anything

Deliciious! (when there is no shrapnel)

Is it like a tilapia? I will have to look for it!

I like it a lot better than tilipia actually.  Tiliapia tends to come in thinner filets.  This is a thicker cut and in general just much more substantial. It is mild like tilipia though.
