I was greeted this morning by a PASTA on OH !!!

I know these ads come up based on my online activity....(I love high heel Leg Show ones.....yikes, I said to much!)

Just thought it was kinda amusing......as I'm supposed to go to a client lunch today at Il Fornaio an Italian restaurant.

You know, I never get those pop ups when I'm on OH. Go figure. I get all the little box ads that pay to be on OH, but not the Facebook type of pop up ads. Wonder why....

Have a good lunch. Il Fornaio can be pretty sleeve friendly, but you probably already know that.

I don't get food pop-ups for some reason.  I do get designer purse and shoe adds along with high end sports car commercials (thanks to my ten year old son).  If it has wheels and goes fast, he probably knows all about it.  :)  Remind you of anyone?

What are you getting at  Il Fornaio?  I can eat vicariously through your experience.

Alan went out for business lunch and I am making a Greek salad and Sea bass with walnut sauce for lunch.

Are you kidding me? Cooking like that for lunch? You don't need to live vicariously through Frisco. I don't think I've ever had anything that gourmet in my life! I opened a can of tuna and added some lettuce. Didn't even have a tomato in the house.  I will live vicariously through both of you. Love you and miss you. Sometime I'll get to SJ group again.

Miss you too.

I have been researching some of my old family history and decided I needed to revisit some Georgian cooking (not the state, the country).  They have amazing flavors and cook quite a bit with walnuts and many spices.  The calorie count is higher in these foods as they have the fat from the walnuts, but the carbs tend to be very low.  The new spices have really added a kick to my eating. If you are ever in town, let me know, I will whip some of these dishes up for you.  They seem to be perfect for our small capacity and nutrition needs.  The extra fat keeps me full for many hours; I can now go 5-6 hours without getting hungry.

I think I can be in your town around lunch time :-) Sounds yummy. Wish I could cook.

You can cook! Change your attitude and give it a try. You'll be surprised! Start simply. How about a cucumber and mint salad with garlic-balsamic vinaigrette? Easy - Peezy!

Well, I think that peeling a cucumber doesn't really count as cooking. I could definitely do that but I would still need to buy a cucumber and some mint. I would just love someone to cook for me. I can't imagine an actual homemade "cooked" lunch. What I can cook is my "famous" homemade browned butter salted chocolate chip cookies. They used to be my "trademark" for broker's tour--my famous cookies and milk. However, I am NOT making them next week! I have decided to make something healthy instead. Haven't decided what yet, but it will be a lot better than those cookies--- maybe your cucumber salad. I have been really focused this week and am down 2 lbs. Made my appt with  Dr C for August and working hard to take care of myself.  Thanks for all your help at the support meeting. It was just what I needed.

Wow, Elina! That sounds amazing.  I was lucky enough to have a salad made by my wonderful husband who sent it to work with me today - spring greens, fresh red pepper, cucumber, 1% shredded mozzarella, a bit of grated parmesan, grape tomato and thin little slices of the steak he made for supper last night.  So... freaking....good.  But - save some of that sea bass...yum! :)

Your salad sounds delicious.  I too am lucky enough to have a husband that likes to cook.  We are both good cooks, but he really enjoys taking care of me, so he comes up with all kinds of ways to get more veggies into me and our kids.  You and I are seriously blessed.  :)
