Surviving Long Weekend in New York City
I went to NYC for a few days at the 5 week mark and it was awesome. I walked SO MUCH! And never rode the subway since I -could- walk. It was amazing. A huge life changed experience. :D
It is hard to get used to wasting food. But.. better waste than to waist ;)

Gwen, it's so true - for me, it's a 'return to form', really. I went to college in NYC, so it really felt great to be walking as much as I used to back in the late 80's, early 90's again.. I'm finding that this is the bonus of the gastric sleeve; your stamina increases so much because you're able to endure a lot more physical effort. It's had a tremendous effect on my psychological well being, too :-)
