Foamies?

I made an eggmug for dinner using half cup eggbeaters and a pinch of taco cheese. Ate it taking 30 seconds per bite, no problem. When I am finished, without thinking, I take my antibiotic pill, my prilosec (which I was supposed to take an hour BEFORE I ate), my zocor, a calcium pill, my multivitamin and my vitamin D pill.

I sit down in my chair and my stomach starts churning and I keep swallowing, and my mouth keeps watering, and needless to say, my dinner did not stay down. I feel better now...

I think the pills and the sips of water to get them down caused the problem. Was this the infamous foamies I have heard about?

Oh boy yes that is the FOAMIES!!!!! I have been dealing with them from week 3 post op till week 8 until I finally called into the Dr office long story short my new pouch closed up except a pin head size opening....So I sure do know what foams and throwing up is all about...It isn't fun I know....Sorry you had to go through that...Just a question did you wait 30 minutes before taking your meds after you ate? It sounds like you ate then started taking your meds...that is a no no....Must wait 30 minutes before you eat no drinking and 30 minutes after you eat no drinking....Sorry Im not telling you your wrong I just know for me that is a must...I had Ruin Y.....Have a great week..

My gosh, I am sorry you had that priblem but glad your doctor found out what was causing it!

Yes, I usually take my vitamin and calcium right after I eat. I didn't know I was supposed to wait half-hour to take them. I do wait half-hour to drink though. Not sure why I sipped so much to take the pills. Thanks for the info. From now on I will wait to take the pills. I don't want to go through that again!

Loll...yes...that's it Dawn! I had the foamies like three days. It wasn't so much after eating...it was brought on by the gas. The gas is so much at once the air pocket roils my tummy and I'll tell you what...I've shot up out of sleep..foaming. I keep a cup bedside because of it. I've also been funny about taking pills...I stagger them so not to take them all at once
