Vanity

I've noticed that I'm much more picky about food because I can only eat such small amounts now.

I'm experiencing something similar with clothes as well.  I guess because I have so few clothes during this losing weight process, I've become much more picky!  I actually want to wear clothes that, gasp, fit well and look good!  110 pounds ago, I was okay with shapeless things and didn't care that they looked good, I just cared if they fit.  Now though, I find that I care about all of these things.

I even bought a nice pair of winter shoes yesterday because I realized that there was no way I was going to wear my fuzzy lined Crocs this winter.  My feet look so much more awesome now!  I don't want to wear clunky, bulky, ugly shoes for my svelte new feet :P

I never thought I'd be someone who cared about how her clothes looked.  But... yeah, I definitely care now.

I hear you. I used to shop/dress based on what fit.  Now I try on several things in the morning to see what looks good.  It's a nice feeling. I  also pick up my pants and say, "these are never getting on me" and am always surprised when they do.

Girl, I totally hear you! I can SO relate to this. I didn't wear makeup, always wore my hair up (looking like a mess) and the same pants/plain shirt every.single.day. Now I spend money to have my hair professionally highlighted, wear makeup, had plastic surgery, and buy all kinds of clothes.

Prior to about 9 months ago, my husband had seen me in ONE dress in 9 years - my wedding dress! Now, I wear dressed 2-3 times a week! LOL It's crazy!!

Enjoy it, you deserve it all!

It's crazy.  I even put a bra on just to hang out in the house!  In the past, I couldn't get into loose clothing and get my bra off quick enough when I got home for the day!  But here I am, relaxing for the evening after all of my exercise and errands, and I'm wearing a bra and decent clothes.

I can't wait to shop once I reach goal!  For now, I'm trying to exercise restraint and not buy ALL THE CLOTHES.  ;)

me too! I bought nice tall leather boots (b/c for the first time they fit my calves!!!) and I am wearing leggings and dresses to work (NEVER did that before).  I get my hair done at a real salon that takes more than 10 min per cut.

This is one thing I am hopefully going to do in the future! I love tall boots and even at my smallest size I've never been able to wear them. My surgery is next week - maybe they will be in my wardrobe next Fall!

Definitely! On all accounts!

I am much more picky about what I wear an how it looks on me. Of course, I'm still getting used to looking at size medium, or 12/14... it freaks me out sometimes. But it's a good feeling!

Thanks for posting this, Gwen. I felt the EXACT SAME THING when I was getting dressed this morning. Your post hit the nail right on the head.
