Hi!
Just back today after being away FOREVER!!!!! I'm just about 4 years out too (Saturday). I've had the year from crazy as well: lost my job in Feb and my mom died unexpectedly in March. The bar for 2015 to be better is set pretty low!
I've had no regain -- yet. I say yet bc I am still not really eating "clean", getting in enough fluids, exercising. I think I'm just eating few enough calories that it's not sticking. I just started MFP up again for the 900th time. One bite at a time, I suppose.
OH has always been my home too. I have been seduced by FB groups so bad about coming back here. Oh! And some group admin banned me while I was gone -- just didin't say which group! LOL!
Sending hugs! I will join your show on the road with mine! Ann
Hi Ann,
Good to hear from you although I am so sorry to hear about your difficult 2014 and so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother in March.
Thanks for the hugs! I had a good first day back eating clean yesterday and it wasn't nearly as difficult as I imagined it would be, so I'm hopeful I will turn this around. Stay tuned! :)

It must be Veteran's week, because so many of us trickled back this week. I have not had any regain, but waned to come back to socialize and reconnect with my VSG roots) and talk awhile.
I did have an increase in food capacity though. Have any of you noticed an increase? I've gone up from 8 ounces to 10 ounces, even though I don't over fill my tummy, and still don't.
I remember Elina, she was another wonderful mentor of mine as well. I made her green soup many times during the weight loss phase and it really helped me through some tough times. It should be patented as a medication...![]()
15-20 pounds is not a huge regain, you are so smart to get going on kicking it to the curb now before it becomes 40-50 pounds, which is much harder to manage this far out, but still doable!
Congrats on your recent marriage! ![]()
Thank you for the congrats! I'll post some of my wedding pics since you twisted my arm. ;)

As far as an increase in food capacity, I am not sure. I never really tested my capacity to begin with, so it is hard for me to compare now. I think it must have increased a little, but I wouldn't say a lot. Sometimes I'll be worried and think, "Oh, I can fit in so much more than I used to!!" but then we'll go out to eat somewhere and I'll be full immediately and the waiter thinks I hate the food. This still happens nearly every time. So, I still have considerable restriction.
15 lbs feels like a huge regain, but its not a mystery how it happened. I have been making very poor choices especially when traveling by myself for work. So, it should just be a matter of keeping my head on straight. Yesterday I did awesome with my first day back to really eating clean, so hopefully I can just keep it up and get back to my comfort zone. I am traveling for work again tomorrow, which will be a good "test" for me. There are plenty of good choice options for me where I'm headed, so I'm confident I can do this especially with everyone's support here.
