plastic surgery consult today
Hi all,
I had a consult with a plastic surgeon today to talk about a tummy tuck. We will submit to insurance and I'm hoping the insurance will pay for the lower part, as I've had rashes from the excess skin. She said it is 50/50 as to whether they will cover it. I guess we'll see.
One thing that was good is she said I didn't need to lose more weight. I was concerned that I still had some belly fat, but she said I didn't have much fat - my belly is mostly excess skin. This made me happy.
It sounds like the recovery is going to be pretty unpleasant for the first two weeks. But I think it will be worth it to have a flat tummy again. I'm getting excited about it now.

The first thing I want to do is an arm and chin lift.. The lower parts I'll wait, since I can hide them! LOL

Hey Carol - good to hear from you on here! I'm getting ready to get serious about seeking a LBL too. What great news to hear that the belly "fat" you thought you had is really just excess skin. Hope I'm that lucky - lol!
