Personal Trainer...Protein Shakes....
I just thought I would share this. First I have lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks...not bad for me. I am workign out 6 days a week. 2 with a personal trainer. Well, I have had to change trainers.... My first thought it was better to spend my money gawking at size 3's.
I have met with a new personal trainer....and to my suprise he has 4 outher GBS clients.....Never in my life in my small town would I imagine. He gave me food charts and is going to start me on a new workout schedule. AND HE IS CHEAPER!!!!!!!!!!
The one thing he told me was he wants me to get 100g of protein a day. No w thats a bit of a problem for me. I hate milk and it hates me. GNC protein Powders are horrible to me, or I mix the wrong things with it.
Any suggestions on a good brand or even what I can mix it with. I am going to follow him perfectly to a tee. I even found the Optisouce vitamins.... YEA!!
I even had a goal of what I wanted to get too and he said we are going to go farther down the scale.....Perfect. He has a great attitude and as long as I trust him and work with him we will get it.
I am just so excited aobut the 4 pounds....I had to share...

Go to vitalady.com and order some samples and see what you like. I find that protein tastes differ greatly from person to person so what I like, you might hate.
I mostly mix my proteins with water and ice. I do mix chilled coffee with (IDS vanilla cinnamon) protein and ice to make a latte. I also add a splash of half and half and some extra sweetener to it.

I have a trainer too! Twice a week for the last year or more! Wow! Great! I drink 3-4 shakes a day--Chocolate Whey Stack --each shake is 1 and 1/2 scoops (30 grams of protein) that I mix with a cube or two of ice, some sugar free syrup (from Smart & Final) and WATER! Milk has 13 or 14 grams of sugar per serving--so no way for me! I buy my protein powder from vitalady.com
Yummy!
Hey Cheri,
Sounds like my new trainer and yours are on the same page. Mine has a degree from college in sports training. Boy he pushes me to the very edge!!!
I haven't lost any weight yet, but I can already see muscle growth and that's a good thing too.
Hmmmm, I'm pretty much getting my proteins from food and not from drinks. I do supplement with one drink after a work-out. Weights 2 days a week, cardio 5-6. I'm also trying to go 2x per day (gym is across the street from work!!) and do two sessions of 45 min. on cardio. This is tough, but I think it is going to work!
Good luck and let us know how it is going.

Hi Cheri -- first GOOD for you for working out!
I use Unjury mixed with water and sometimes some flavored syrups. But mostly I use 1 scoop choc and 1/2 scoop strawberry mixed with water. Tastes great and goes down easy.
Get some samples of several different kinds until you find something you like. I tried all the ones from vitalady and hated them all. Unjury is the only one I like. But everybody's taste is different, so only buy samples until you find one you like.
As for the Optisource vitamins... they are way too expensive for what they contain. I compared several different vitamins (on a spreadsheet line by line) and Optisource wasn't anything special -- and it contains the wrong calcium for us.
I think the doctors who are recommending this vitamin must be getting a kick-back.
Good luck!
Deb
