I am 6 months out and am on protein-60 grams; multi vitamin; iron; calcium-1200mcg and B-12.  Now I have to take Zinc also.  Does this pill popping ever slow down?  What do you take after a year or two out?  Hopefully less pills.

Hugs,
Sharlene

I take daily~ 2 chewable multi vits Upcal D (powder calcium) 2000mg Sublingual B12 (every other day) B6 It seems like so many people, even no wls'ers, supplement alot these days to try to stay and feel as healthy as possible. We still have to get all of our protein in too~for life I'm told.

I'm 20 months out and my surgeon only said to take a multivitamin daily.  So far all my labs have been fine.

No, it increases, as you suspected or at some point it levels out. Since your program looks vastly inadequate to me, I'm thinking you've got more pills to add before you're done.

I was 13 last week and take 180g protein in supplement (my choice to go that high, takes 120g to hold my labs level); a lot of calcium, iron, vit D, E, zinc. Take much less A and b complex than I did, tho, if that helps. LOL

I prefer to take my B12 via shot, since I'm not good with any form of chewable or lozenge. If it goes into my pill pack, it gets into my face, every day, without fail.

In some cases, you may find a single pill that includes more mg or a better form for absorption and end up on less total pills as you become better at taking the right things.

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.
