whos all going to do the 5 day pouch test after the holidays

I'm definitely starting January 2nd with you.  I was at group two weeks ago and a man came in to say he had just done the 5-day test (after Thanksgiving) and was so happy with the results he suggested everyone try it after the holidays.  I think we have about 5 people who are going to do it from the group.  I'd like to lose a total of 12 pounds so I'll have to see if my 5 days become 15 days.

I'm definately going to do it, I've been grazing for days and drinking.  My sz 12 jeans are tight.   I'm not sure when I"m going to start it probably after the 1st.

you know i am bad... i was wanting pizza for new year's eve or new years day.. is that bad? yes i eat the crust..............  should i just start the 5dpt on day 1 or 2...............

I"ll will starting to 5 day pouch test. Starting on Jan2. Seeing how sanata got me a new blender for xmas. Plus I have a hot little outfit sanata got me for . When me and my dh and friends go to the horse races in may and. I need to lose another 15 pounds by then. Hope everyone had a safe and merry xmas. Taichi

I'm right there with ya! I'm going on the 5dpt tomorrow. I have about 6 lbs. to lose by New Year's Eve! Does anyone know how much you lose on the 5dpt? I'm hoping it is at least the 6 lbs. but I will definately take more!!

AB-SO-LUTE-LY!!    I will be doing the plan.  I did a modified version back in Oct., and even though Days 4 & 5 were more liberal than intended in the plan (I was traveling), I still did well.  I lost several lbs. and got some control back.  However, I completely surrendered to the holidays.  Although I didn't eat in the same quantities (in a sitting) as before wls, I ate the same QUALITY of food and let grazing do me in big-time.  Never would I have imagined that I would succumb to the poor choices & habits again.   I've still got family here for 2 more days and then have another wkend w/ several plans--and then of course NYE, so realistically, I won't start til after that.  It will take me that long to get up my nerve to step on the scale.

We all have to remember what the 5dpt is intended to do and that is to reset our pouch and get back to the basics of eating. The weight loss is a extra bonus. I have been doing more grazing, and not sitting down and eating what Im suppose to. Sure I have been eating mostly protein foods like cheese and meats but also cookies and candy, and ****tails. It doesnt take much to start gaining, but its definetly time to get it under control and what better time than the new year along with all our OH freinds that are in the same boat. If you can start today, more power to you, I know I would be setting myself up for failer if I dont wait till after new years.Hope everyone had a great christmas, Debra

I was brave enouph to step on that evil scale this AM & I WILL be doing the 5 day starting today. Just to jump start all I've learned. I was up to 168 this morning. I didn't get in nearly the H2O I usually get in, plus a goodie here & there. And some peach schnops(sp) Dumped big time on that one. I have to work New Years Eve & Day so that won't be a problem for me. I didn't get in any activity over the Christmas holiday either. So I jogged for 23 min. already this AM & will do it again tonight. I got a treadmill but I lose interest after 20 min or so. Thats why I break it up. If I don't do any in the AM then I try to MAKE myself do 30-35 min in the PM.

I will also try the 5 day pouch test and I think I will start tomorrow. I am 22 months out and I have gained 10 lbs and I never reached my personal goal. I need to lose 12 lbs. I am also so bummed because I was exercising 5 times a week and running 25 miles a week and I did a half marathon two weeks ago and hurt my knee and will probably have to have surgery. Please give me some encouragment. I will talk to on the board to help and get encouragement. One of my big problems is graving, a few bites here and there and I like to have a few drinks in the evening. Has anyone tried journals thougts and food to help. i think I will try.
