5 Day Pouch Test
So today is the first day I'm doing the 5 Day Pouch Test. Anyone else struggling as much as I am? I want to eat so bad. I was doing really good until lunch. I just want something to eat. Not carbs. I don't really miss them. I just want some meat or something.
For breakfast I had a sugar free jello pudding cup. For lunch I'm doing Campbell's Soup at Hand. I had a piece of string cheese too. I worry about cutting my calories so drastically.
Is anyone else doing this or am I by myself?

I looked at the stuff today. It looks like something i should try and do as well. However it being 245pm most of my day is already over so I cant start it today. What are you planning on eating I was a little lost as to the example menu. Id be willing to do it with you but i'm going to need some help as far as this menu thing.

Hi, I too am struggling ever since my hysterectomy. i've gained weight and in size. so depressed and i was doing very well. but now, don't know what's happened. i seem to eat anything and as much as i want without any pain. I've been trying to start this test also, but just can't seem to try hard enough or continue the whole day. i seem to alsways eat a non liquid food. yesterday and today i ate lots of turkey, loads of protein there. so, maybe i should try again. ugh! Hugs
I've done the test 2 times- the first time was much easier, as I really needed to know if my pouch "still works". Thank heavens the answer was "It works if you work it". Day 1and 2 is so very hard, and I understand your concern about drastically cuttting your calories. Are you doing protein drinks? They'll help in adding to your intake. Good Luck.

Two weeks ago we went to Nashville for the Country Christmas. I was VERY afraid of gaining lots of weight so I did the five day pouch restart. I dont mean to be graffic, but I spent alot of time in the bathroom the firsg two days. I kept wondering "where is this all coming from?" It was like my body completly flushed (sorry for the pun) itself.
As far as the pouch, it worked. I couldnt eat that much and I felt full all weekend. I have since gone back to eating like crap but I am planning to get back on track.

I started it today. I have had:
a sugar free pudding cup
Atkins shake
cup of chicken broth
fage yogurt mixed with sf/ff pudding
Healthy choice cream of chicken soup
Atkins Shake
and all the water I could handle! :-) -- probably around 80 ounces
I too am hungry though. I don't want carbs, but would love some protein! I cant wait for day 3 and some mushies! haha
