Everytime I hear the sound of fireworks, I rejoice inside....that we are free to enjoy them, to celebrate! I went with my girlfriend and helped her shop for some great used furniture for her spare room. Found an antique childs doll buggy for 20$ woo-hoo and watched wally. Very cute movie! will have burgers tomorrow and bought myself another bag of cherries! That is my yearly treat till the price goes too high! Here's my food: ate mostly on the run, so it had to be foods I could put in my purse! Hi Tami! Happy 4th ~ perfect family day for me yesterday.  3 of my 4 sibblings and all the kids got together at my Dad's house for a BBQ, bon fire, smores & then down to the fireworks.  Oh I cried ~ I just love it when my family is together.  My Mom passed away a little over 2 years ago we miss her so much but keep her long standing at least once a month family gathering.  But, with this many people we have at least one birthday a month to celebrate . My eating was terrible but here goes: B:  coffee & more coffee S:  SBD strawberry/banana tide me over w/ scoop of protein powder L:  2oz chicken 1/2 c. broccoli slaw (I'm addicted) S:  pumpkin brownie from Hungry-Girl cookbook D:  BBQ (I forgot my turkey burger) lots of picking = cheese, rice cakes, cantaloupe & grapes, potato salad, 3 beers, bite of a REAL brownie S:  1/2 bocca burger w/ ff swiss cheese 1/3 c. broccoli slaw & 1/2 c Edy's triple cho**** cream not sure about the water but it was at least 60oz **cleaned 5 horse stalls and rode my horse for about 1/2 hour then gave her a bath ~ beautiful day. I didn't do totals because of the picking I'm not sure just how much I ate.  Today won't be any better as I have a family wedding tonight so I'll do more picking & drinking I'm sure

I am so glad you had a wonderful day Stephanie!!!! I can imagine how difficult it is to lose your mom, I'm a hospice nurse. My heart is with you...hugs!!! Well you did work off cals, and jus****ch today and keep healthy!

I felt pretty good about my eating on the 4th... until I got to the cookout... I was aware that I was going to do true confessions here this morning so I kept up with what I was eating and probably would have done worse if I wouldn't have! I think the idea about adding a protein shake or two back into my day is a good one... I think I try to not snack at all (afraid of being a grazer) and then I just melt down at about five o'clock! I'm going to get to the GNC today to get some powders. Thanks!

Morning all.  It was a quiet day for us.. mostly did things around the house.  Going to try and get more done (laundry, dishes, etc.).  Supposed to rain for the next 7 days, so mostly inside stuff I think. I have a rave.  It's called protein ice cream.  I made it at home using one of those new makers that doesn't require ice or salt..  and get this.  1 cup == 256 calories and 34! grams protein.  Even better?  It tasted great.  Eggface from the mainboard and RNY board is the one who came up with this idea, and damn if I won't be playing with the recipes.  I did strawberry last night.. I'm thinking that chocolate banana (with maybe some peanut butter.. I'm going to order some PB2) would be good..  or a coffee flavored ice cream...  1c oikos w/ fibersure and 1/4c kashi vive probiotic cereal 1c oikos w/fibersure Turkey burger on whitewheat bun with 1 slice FF swiss cheese and 2 large pickles 1c strawberry protein ice cream Champion PWS drink 1102 cals  19g fat  90g carbs  145.5g protein  21.5g fiber Mowed the yard for excercise.. it takes me a bit over an hour to get it done.
