I maintaining but my current favorite is popcorn.  It's a whole grain snack with lots of fiber.

About a year ago, I discovered dried peas and dried edamame. Dried peas have 6 grams of protein per 1/4 cup and high fiber. Dried edamame is an immature soy bean, harvested early, and then boiled and frozen. Then it's roasted to dry it out. 1/4 cup of edamame has 14 grams of protein, with high fiber. I eat some of either one daily for a snack. No refrigeration, easy to transport in a baggy, and both have a healthy, slightly salty, crunch to them. Noted on my profile page. DAVE

I'm working on losing my last 50 lbs, so now for a snack I always have a protein shake. It's actually quite filling.

Some of my favorite snacks center around protein. A cheese stick (1 oz, single wrapped) or a 1/4 cup of nuts. Then I also add (if I am on track with my protein) single serving packs of Sunchips or Pringles Stix..But my all around favorite is the single serving of microwave kettle corn popcorn...Yumo...Especially if I can handle the extra carbs.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I eat protein bars or have a shake (I make mine with coffee because I love coffee-decaf).  I also like carrots or pretzels dipped in a tablespoon of peanut butter.  apples, banana, nuts.  I like to snack on protein because it is something we all need alot of.  Good luck and God bless, Penni

Hi,

I don't snack...I eat 4 meals a day and then small meal.  So I eat at 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm and then 8pm.  I used to eat crackers, fruit, nuts, etc at 3 but then I realized I could REALLY eating something at 3 - so I usually eat another Lean Cuisine or something between 200 - 300 calories at 3pm.  This really keeps me from grazing in the afternoon.

As far as portion sizes, I eat betwwen 8 - 10 oz's per meal.

Good Luck
