Well, I worked all day yesterday in the kitchen but this time dh saw how hard it is to get a turkey meal on the table...Next year, Marie Calendars if we have no guests...I'm tellin ya!

The turkey was awesome, the green bean side worked fabulously (first time EVER) and everything was great. I made zucchini whole wheat bread and Sugar Free protein pumpkin pies (in tart shells so one is a serving..) And then today I made ginger cookies. These are for the gift boxes so they're not sugar free. licking my fingers was probably not a good idea but...i did.

My list for the day:

Breakfast: 3 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2/3 cup (probably closer to half cup) hashed browns.

Lunch: 3 mini turkey sandwiches with cheddar cheese on the zucchini bread (small, 1 lb loaf. I took 1.5 lb loaves and split it into three loaves..LOVE my bread maker!)

Dinner: 4 oz turkey, 1/2 left over green beans, 1/4 cup mashed potatoes and gravy. Then for dessert I had half of the small sugar free pumpkin pies...I counted it the same as a regular pumpkin pie slice only half...

Totals for the day:

Calories: 1783
Fat: 94.4
Carbs: 132.9
Protein: 101.6

Protein was only 22% today but I'm still on vacation. Shopping and baking today counts at least alittle as exercise..

How did you all do? Back to the same old thing tomorrow I figure...LOL.

It's so hard to stick to the liquids. I'd be miserable, especially with all this holiday cooking I'm doing. IMPOSSIBLE.

Your numbers look awesome though..161 for protein. Be sure and drink plenty of water so you can counter the effects of the high protein...

Keep trying! See ya.

Water intake to counter high protein?   I hadn't thought about that.  Thanks.
My doctor only requires 60 grams of protein, but in trying to stay away from those awful carbs, I've been going way over.  I'm such a carb addict.  Once I start. it's binge city!

Thanks for your support.

I think the MOST addictive carbs are the white ones.. So don't forgoe the good carbs like veggies and low sugar fruits..but bread and such? lose those for sure. cooked greenbeans..MY FAV lately.

It took me months and months of staying away from the bad carbs to be able to eat just a little and stop. Practice and only when I'm very strong.

I'm having a hard time getting my water in this weekend. Today was the closest I've gotten and I've had less than half my normal...I'm not doing well but the holidays do that to me.

Keep up the good work..That benadryl will dry you out too so watch it! See ya.

I so don't think I'll be shopping anywhere but Walmart! dh and I went to Target and bought a speaker video rocker (the kind the kids use when they play video games)..They're normally $80 and they had them at Target for $44...But right after that we went to Walmart and they had them for $30...Same chair. So back we went to Target to return the first one. If it had only been a buck or two, I would have let it go but $14 is too much to give away.

Your list looks really good. Turkey is SO good for protein..I just love the numbers it gives me.

You're doing awesome! Keep up the good work. See ya.
