How easy is it for you to gain?

Not the Same Dawn

I'm working on changing my mind about the whole thing. I either have to exercise more or eat less. All the carbs I eat are good carbs for the most part but I'm going to work on removing the bad carbs completely. Plus, I'm trying to increase my water to the gallon that I was doing before my vacation started.

It's not the goal weight that bothers me. It is that stinkin number on the scale. All in my mind...
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Ok whats your secret to being taller after surgery !!   LOL

Im 5'2 as well and am 125 up from 122.  My limit was and is 125 but it sure is annoying me not going down.  I also feel like I have been bloated due to wonky hormones!   I had big night sweats last night and that usually means I will see a one pound drop.  I hope but it sure is getting tougher to maintain it... just gotta work harder.

Hugs!

LOL, I keep saying the 1" taller is due to my weight now pushing my spine down.  I've heard others say the same thing that they "grew".

I'd love to see 125 continuously but I can't seem to stay there are a little below.  My ultimate goal is to stay between 122-125 and I think I can do that if I stay compliant although it is much harder than where I am now (128.7).   My limit is 130 lbs (that was my goal and surgeon's goal) so I'm there even at almost 4 years out however I feel bloated where I am too.  I've been dealing with female issues myself, actually having 2 periods per month.  The week I'm on my cycle my eating is ok, but the week before PMS is a big time struggle as that is when I'm craving chocolate, ugghhh.

I went grocery shopping today though and on Monday many of us on the Texas Message board are doing a 30 day challege to get back on track, all the holiday food sure threw me for a loop.

Its ok with me to maybe be 125 being the new norm. but as a ex- fatty my mind says up means up to 263 again.  So I struggle with that.   Having had a hysterectomy and one lil ovary working doesnt give me a "Oh here comes my period" this is why Im feeling so and so... its kinda sporadic and no warning ( the ups and downs that is )  I usually feel sort of constipated and like I have a poo baby in my tummy.   < sorry >

So another stage I guess... its all so new.  But I guess the fear of going up will keep me incheck.

Atleast I hope.
Thanks for sharing.. it SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO helps!

I too have to watch everything I eat and eat very little in order to just maintain my loss. Over the summer I had gained 7 pounds and have been so far able to take them back off, but I am worried that I will gain them plus some back again. I find that weighing myself every morning helps to keep me focused on what I eat for the day. I do not keep track of my calories, I just know that I do not eat much at all. I really need to log back into fitday.com to watch what I eat more closely. It is really hard to obstain from eating when everyone around you is eating the yummy holiday food.
I LOVE to eat!!! I LOVE to cook!!!! But I love how I feel and how I look so much more!!!!!
Happy New Year!!!!

Yup I went from having to plug in extra's to not lose anymore to having a dirty thought about food and I gain!
It sucks............. I now watch my weight like anyone would.  BUT I did take full advantage for the honeymoon period and got it all off.
I dont work out other than walking.. I hate working out so I refused to start somthing to lose and not follow through with it.
I would rather keep my cals down than excersise LOL
But yes I have to stay around 1100 a day to keep me at my weight of 124.

Hugs and thank you for posting this ~

EEEEASY! Sugar. One ingredient. That's all.

I don't count calories or fats. I do count sugar g, portion size, frequency of meals, and protein g.

In 14 years, I've had 3 regains (lost again, with effort) and been too low 3 times (something was wrong, not with my WLS).

I've never been involved in "exercise", as defined by a certain activity in a certain place at a certain time. There are days when I'm on my feet all day running, so I'm not a couch potato.

What controls my wt is SUGAR left out, protein supps taken in.

I gain pretty easy- but I loose pretty easy too.  I can get above this pretty little plateu reeeal easy. Add stress, chocolate, and chips. Alla sudden floomp the pounds are waiting in the wings. But then- If I focas in on it and take out those evil bad foods I'm right back to my 143-148 pound cycle. I'm sure as soon as I get to the Gym more often, up my water, and cut the carbs (*sigh* again) I'll be able to shed more, but this range is comfortable and I'm trying to get used to my body *as is*
