Busy day here just now home relaxing;somewhat! Up at 7 to get ready for a run, did some dishes and laundry before and more once home. Had my now 9 year olds party at the Y this afternoon. It was fun and the kids were good. morgan has known most of these kids since she was 2 in nursery school; they are so sweet to one another now i wish i could freeze time some days. Either Morgan had too much fun or she has a virus; again. We went to see the movie Up; it is wonderful for adults and children. Just tucked her in bed,she is warm, headachy and a stomache ache.
Pre run-protein drink with soymilk
post run-banana and iced tea

L-1 slice pizza and 1 big bite of a big cupcake at the party-wanted the whole thing!
S-fiber crackers and 2 wedges light laughing cow
S-sf cookies- now I have a gutache!
I may make some tea and then get to bed

Sorry your daughter isn't feeling well. Sometimes the excitement and fun and food will get them feeling bad afterwards. Sort of like a "fun" hangover.

You did good! Good list and got alot done too.

Hubby is painting the house alittle this morning before church. I have to run and "supervise" lol.

It feels good to be busy! See ya.

LOL. Of course I'd invite my kids over for a barbeque if I had something I needed them to do for me..LOL. It's good either way. You do something nice for your mom and she gets to feed you. For her it's a win-win and for you it's a win-win...

Your list is so good! My favorite food in the world is shrimp..I bet if I could afford lobster it would change but for now, little wanna-be lobsters will have to do. Great numbers too. Awesome.

Recipe allert. I had a brilliant idea this morning. I have tons of pork chops in the freezer and someone who shall remain nameless (cough - dh) opened a second jar of salsa in the fridge. Sooooo. Tomorrow I'm going to pop pork chops on chopped onion in the crock pot and slather the whole container of pineapple mango salsa over the top and a splash of teriyaki sauce...yumo. Maybe have dh make some rice. and that will be dinner.

laughs..yup brilliant.

Have a great day. See ya.

That sounds really good, Dawn! Let me know how it turs out. I love the thin cut pork chops.
Now I want sweet n sour pork chops for dinner this week.

This is how I do sweet n sour pork chops...  *Recipe allert*

Thin cut pork chops, Strips of onions and green bell pepper, chopped garlic, Heinz 57 steak sauce, NSA Pineapple chunks w/ the juice.

Sautee the pork chops and veggies in a pan w/ a lil olive oil. Then pour steak sauce over meat and veggies. add pineapple chunks w/ it's juice. Simmer all together on low for 10 min.

Quick, easy and delish!! That sauce does have carbs and sugar in it but I use 1/4 cup (2 servings) for 2 thin pork chops so it's not that bad.

Dawn:  Last cruise we were on I ate my last lobster tail.  I just don't agree with the way they cook them alive!  It is not worth the guilt I feel.  Just like faux gras goose liver.  Do you know they put them in a box so they can't move and then shove food down their throats with a stick destroying their voice box in the process so they can't honk. I eat meat but have a real problem when I learn about situations like that cruelty to animals.  I don't know how shrimp are processed but at least they are not as high on the brain chain as lobster and geese.  I wish there was a way to know how the animals we eat are killed.  There must be more and less humane processes out there don't you know?  Daisy

I've been a meat eater my whole life but I have friends who are vegetarian and can understand the sentiment of it all. I don't think lobsters feel more than fish do but it's a personal thing.

I wish I didn't need meat but I do too.  Just like you I don't waste it.  I save leftovers.  I eat soy and cheese and eggs often but I need meat!
