anyone eat fiber one cereal?
I have started eating cereal for breakfast because I need to up the fiber in my diet to promote BM'S. I think I read on here that fiber one is really good so I bought some, i think it taste good, I only eat 1/3 - 1/2 cup each morning with either 1/2 banana or a couple strawberrys or raisen. Its only been about a week so havenmt noticed to much of a change yet but I'll give it a couple more weeks. I have also added salads at least once a day and still am geting in enough protein. I really need to look at my portions, I know the 20 pounds I have gained is from eating to much and to much of the wrong things. Deb
I've been a long time fan of Nature's Path Optimum Power cereal. I've tried Kashi Nuggets recently and like that too. Most mornings I add a little Granola to some Greek strained yogurt with some fresh seasonal fruit.
Fiber One has fiber but no protein (like 2g per serving) and also "fake food" ingredients (Guar Gum, Cellulose Gum...ooh, that's sounds YUM-O). I guess my opinion would be: it's OK but you can do better.

I have eaten the Fiber One cereal and have a friend who swears by the bars. I don't really notice much difference when I eat it versus the other higher protein cereals. I have moved away from most cereals as I don't like them soggy which invariably happens if I eat at the right pace. I make the refrigerator bran muffins (I think I'll try a version with a high protein cereal next time), so I can bake a fresh batch each week, eat muffins every morning, and the batter lasts in the frig. for five weeks.
For constipation, my best solution is still a combination of stool softeners, coffee, and morning exercise.
