Are any of you know about Stoma Fix.
I had GBP 5 years ago and I gained 35 lb. I was told that there is a new Stoma Fix that can help me.
Any help is welcome.
Thank you Ek

I was watching that show, "The doctors", and they talked about this procedure.
They didn't say much about it but they said it works for post op patients that have gained weight back. I'm sure if you google it or contact a surgeon, you would get lots of info.

Hi

I just had the Rose ( Revision Obesity Surgery Endoscopically) done and I think that what you are talking about.  Its when your stomach pouch get a little big and the stoma need to be fix at the same time to keep the food in your stomach longer.  I had it done on June 16 and I feel great.  I'm still on soft food but I lost 16 pounds.   I hope this was some help for you.  They don't cut you every thing is by mouth.  They put you to sleep and you are out the next day.  My doctor said they are try do away with the StomaphyX people was not losing weight like they should.

Hope Everything Work Out.

I've also been researching Stomaphyx and R.O.S.E.  They are similar procedures.

I went to a "seminar/support group meeting" sponsored by a clinic/doctor who does R.O.S.E.  He didn't recommend either for me because he thinks my RNY is still working.  He very kindly spent time after the seminar to show his presentations on R.O.S.E. and explain the differences with Stomaphyx.

Use the Surgeon search on the OH main page to search for bariatric surgeons in your state.  The chart will show who does what surgery.  Most of them will have seminars you can attend.

I'm going to try the 5-DPT first.

Good luck on your search,
Linda
