Today I am 4 years post op. it's crazy I just had my first major complication so close to this date. Everyone seems to ask me if I regret it now because of the bowell obstruction? NOPE!
I know it's possible that things could happen to me. That's why when I feel any type of pain, I run to the dr to get it checked out.

I started my journey out at 450 lbs and now I'm 176 lbs and wear a size 10. Some tops are 12 because of the extra skin around my belly. I am confident, I feel like i have control of my eating (most of the time), and I'm just a happier person.

so, YES, I would do it again!

Happy 4 years to me!

Happy anniversary to you...I think it takes something like what you had to remind us to vigilant at all times..I read the symptoms to my husband so he would KNOW what to look for..and I'll never forget!

It's really a small thing, compared to what could have happened in four years at 450 pounds, really...I mean it was dangerous and all but think of all the complications you sidestepped from not being 450 anymore...and besides, in four years 450 might have been 475...You never know.

Congrats
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

That is wonderful Kay, happy anniversary.  I see your commit to fully utilize your tool on OH on a daily basis & it is such an inspiration.  I hope to be on the same path as you when I am for years out.  I wish you all the best and continued success.
