gastric issues

I am four years out from lap RNY and have suddenly developed some gastric issues...specifically bloating and gas...had gas pains so bad one night I almost went to the ER.  any thoughts?

Have you seen your surgeon yet?  I always keep in close contact with mine in case any issues arise further out I am.  Sorry, I'm no help with your question, but I'm sure he's able to help.

Could be something unrelated to your weight loss surgery. I recently had surgery for diverticulits (had 18 inches colon removed.). Before the surgery I was plagued by constant gas and flatulence. Really horrible kind, too. There are many reasons you could be having bloating and gas, some not serious, some very serious that could be unrelated to the RNY. Best to check with a GI doctor.
