SEX!!!!!

I posted this in other forums so sorry if it is a repeat!! Okay....hello everyone I have another question for all those who have had the surgery...I have researched and read posts and it seems that DS can bring on some issues with gas smell, body odour, etc. I know this is personal but is this TRUE...does it affect actual body odour and how does that affect sex and oral sex if i may ask... Any truthful response is greatly appreciated, i am trying to decide if i can live with the consequences of this surgery??! I would appreciate any info on post-surgery sex!!! Cheers, Alanna

I did not have the DS but the RNY and yes my body odor changed...I am still trying to find a deodorent that works, besides my husbands. The sex part of it, my husband has not mentioned anything, and trust he would. The oral he says has not changed either, he says I am the same there, I asked of course. My gas was not as vulgur as people say, I actually thought my was better than before. I hope this helps a little.

I had RNY not DS, but I'll respond anyway. Sex became better after the weight loss. I think my husband enjoys it more because I have more energy. I haven't experienced a change in body odor, but there was a period that I had an increase in gas....but it all depended on what I ate. I eventually learned what my stomach didn't like.

I didnt have the DS but had the RNY.....As far as bad odors....the only thing that has changed for me is my breath in the monring. Whew it reeks now!!! I have to brush like 4 times a day. My gas is actually better. I think it has to do with the way I am eating now. No body odor or bad smells as far as I know. Well I hope not..LoL

Alanna, Don't base your decision on having the surgery on this! Those smells don't last...LOL.. ....Well, not with the RYN at least. The only time I had funk going on is when I was in ketosis from losing so fast. I could tell the days it was going on cause I would smell Really funky...but it would only last a day or so. I'm 5 months out now and the last time that happened was about three months out. Things smell fine now and the sex is better than EVER!!! xoxoxo, nora

I think protein shakes have something to do with it too. But you are not on them forever so no worries! Hugs, Chrissy P.s. I don't smell... DH would tell me if I did..LOL
