When Do You Tell??

I've been lurking here for quite some time and haven't really had much to post about.
But I recently ran across a very 20-somethings issue that I could use some advice on. I've entered the world of internet dating recently. I've been communicating via email with two potential guys and now I'm wondering- when do you explain about surgery?
I figure- be upfront, but how upfront? I mean it shouldn't have to be like a confession, but it almost feels like that for some reason.
Has anyone else had any experience with this? How did you guys handle it??
THANKS for your advice!

The more things the change, the more they're still the same.

I waited until I was further out to date.... when I met somebody and it started to go further is when I told him about having surgery. We were going to be 'exclusive' at that point and I knew he would be seeing me more and how I eat/cook/types of food I keep around and I just wanted somebody who was supportive... if he wasnt going to be then he could hit the door :-) I think its a hard question because if you are earlier out and still far from goal you will be changing SO much that it can be hard on a new budding relationship. IMO I wouldnt personally annouce it in the beginning - why tell if after a few dates things dont work out?
