new to the 20's board
Hey All
My name is Nickie im from outside of Boston, I'm 21 and on my way to get lapband in january. and im wicked glad that there is a bored on here for people in thier 20's. i go to tuffs new england medical center, and all the people that ive met thus far has been 40+ years old, and its kinda weird talking to them because at times they are going through alot of the same feeling that i am but there are things that ive said in group that i think they all looked at me like i had ten heads bc it sounds like a stupid 21 year old being a 21 year old (if that made any sense what so ever) and like i think ill be able to get alot more information form here then from my doctors. ok so ive been chatty tonight on the this bored so im gonna stop talking now and maybe try to get some sleep. haha ok ttyl

Girl I comepletly agree with you. I have only been to a couple of support groups, but it is the same. I mean we all of things in common, but I feel there are diffrent concerns for us younger WLS patients that they just don't understand. I aske donce what I should do when I go out clubbing(because I can't drink after WLS), and they looked at me like I was crazy, but I came on here and got great advice. Anyways welcome to the board!
