Are you feeling hunger? I dont feel the full sensation, but my surgeon says thats normal since your nerves are raw and all kinds of other reasons. If you arent feeling hungry, just measure out what you eat and stop there.. give it time. It should improve once you get to solids...

I found that right after surgery I didn't feel hungry or full, but still had the dependency on food and was missing that. I always looked to food for any needed recovery, and couldn't this time. I was tortured by pizza hut and other food commercials for the first month. After that though and my weight loss, the leaning on food is (almost) gone. I get fuller from real food and only feel full from protein shakes and liquids if i drink too fast. I still have emotional times i want to eat, but don't. Hope this lil bit about me helps!

Shelby- You aren't feeling full because clear liquids go through our pouch very quickly. I am 5 days out too and I felt the same way. I was very nervous about it, but after talking with my surgeon, he explained that this is normal. After we advance to a full liquid diet, we should measure out our portions carefully, because we will feel full. Best of luck to you!
