The Anaheim Angels.
ESPECIALLY if they get another starter to go with Lackey!

But if Santana goes to Anaheim, and he could, they got a 3B prospect we like and they have the money, a Santana/Lackey with that lineup? WOW!

They are REALLY high on Ben Revere, the kid we just took in the draft. That is why we would settle for CoCo Crisp if Boston wouldn't throw in Jacoby Ellsbury and Lester/Buchholz, as a stop gap until Rever's ready.
I like the signing of Mike Lamb...but I really don't think Brian Buscher is our future every day 3B. Maybe they have plans to give Mauer some time down there. We can't risk his bat on the rigors of catching to long!

If we do trade Santana I would hope Ellsbury would be in there some where. Lamb and Everett are 2 players that I am not all that familiar with, But having them lined up together knowing each other should give us some ease and good defense. I don't forsee the Twins putting Mauer in the Hot Corner anytime soon. They did have him running some drills at 1st last sseason.

Adam Everett couldn't hit a beach ball while standing in a phone booth, FYI. He has been called Greg Gagne with a better glove, if you remember the Twins of yester-year. And Lamb has a FAIR bat, but he is clearly a stop gap. Maybe the organization sees something in Buscher. I dunno. It's Bill Smith's call, and he knows batters better than Terry Ryan ever did. TR was a good GM, but he knew pitchers.
CoCo Crisp is something of a clubhouse cancer, I've heard. And if we can ever talk Hank Steimbrenner (George's kid) into giving us Melky Cabrara with Ian Kennedy AND Phil Hughes, we need to do it. The Yank's will be tough enough with Johan and Joba Chamberlain in their rotation.
Respect my baseball knowledge now?

Respect my baseball knowledge now? I'm not even going to pretend I know anything about AL baseball other then that the Red Sox are "wicked awesome"....but I'm hoping that the addition of last year's AL All-Star Team starter, Dan Herring, and maybe a semi-healthy final run by the ancient Randy Johnson, and one more year of experience for a very very young roster might be enough for the Diamondbacks to go even further then the NLCS this year...We'll see....Only 38 days until pitchers and catchers report!
