I just found this board (THANK GOD!) I was starting to think i was the only person UNDER 50 that’s had gastric bypass! To bad there’s not a "weight loss surgery in your teens board"- oh well 20's only a year away- Is it to early to had a mid life crisis? lol (maybe it should be called a quarter life crisis?)

I just feel old… I know that crazy! But do you guys ever feel like you’ve wasted soooo much time?

I'm almost 25 so yeah I'm nearing my quarterlife crisis lol.  Anyway, yeah I feel like I wasted so much time because I've been overweight (heck, obese) my whole life.  I wish I could go back and re-do a lot of stuff but *shrug*...it is what it is and at least I can hopefully be a normal, healthy weight from 25 onwards.

Yeah your right, tomorrow’s another day. I wish I could go back sometimes, even when I was  wicked young.  There are some many things I feel like I didn’t really experience.  I should try to look at the brighter side tho... I was 18 when I got it, I could have been obese for my whole life and never had the surgery or had it when I was in my 40's... so I guess we're lucky ?

Welcome!!! there is a board here called childhood and teen obesity. where alot of under 20's go to and chat.  But defintly welcome to this bored. I dont feel that i've wasted too much time yet, but if I didnt get it now I know in like 5 years I would have felt that way. I feel that because I did something now i have my whole life ahead of me and I dont need to hold back.

Thank you for the welcome... i have been on that board before, but no ones ever on it! Thats a good way to look at it, i need to work on seeing the glass 1/2 full rather then 1/2 empty!

Welcome!  I get that "these people are all old enough to be my mom" vibe sometimes on the MB, they are nice people and all, they just are in a different phase of life.  I'm glad you found us
